The festival is made possible with support by generous local sponsors and donors who contribute to the all-day raffle and major prize draws. The Mareeba Multicultural Festival acknowledges the contribution of the supporters of the event since 1999.

The free, one day Festival includes dance and music by hundreds of performers from different ethnic groups and fabulous food from more than 20 stalls, providing opportunities to experience many different cuisines.
Social cohesion, acceptance and mutual understanding are promoted through the sharing of different cultural experiences.
