The Mareeba Multicultural Festival is proudly supported by Mareeba Shire Council and the Queensland Government through the Celebrating Multicultural Queensland funding programme. Delivered by the Mareeba Multicultural Festival Advisory Committee, a special Committee of the Mareeba Shire Council, the festival is deeply connected to the local community. The current members of the Mareeba Multicultural Festival Advisory Committee are:

The free, one day Festival includes dance and music by hundreds of performers from different ethnic groups and fabulous food from more than 20 stalls, providing opportunities to experience many different cuisines.

Social cohesion, acceptance and mutual understanding are promoted through the sharing of different cultural experiences.
